Description
The Support Services Department is based in the Town Hall, Joymount and incorporates:
- Finance
- Administrative Support
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- The Registration of Births, Deaths & Marriages
Responsibilities
Finance provides advice to the Council and Elected Members, including financial management information, annual Estimates and statutory accounts. It is also responsible for salaries and wages, VAT, debtors and creditors management, treasury and the development and management of Information Technology.
Administration provides administrative support to Council and Elected Members, operation of front desk reception, committee secretariat, Human Resource function, Civic & Ceremonial functions, Registration of Births, Deaths & Marriages, Cemetery administration, issuing of dog licences, public requests for general information, back-up to the Chief Executive.
