Local Strategy Partnerhip Information (LSP)

Carrickfergus Local Strategy Partnership (LSP) creates an opportunity for positive change within the Borough. The Partnership plays a key role in the administration of European Funding through the EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (Peace II), and, in addition, is closely involved in the planning for the longer term development of the Borough through Health and Wellbeing, Education, Employment, Culture and Community Development.
What Carrickfergus LSP means for the Borough:
- Carrickfergus LSP integrates two main partners; Council & Statutory Agencies and 'Social Partners', including the Community & Voluntary Sector, Trade Unions, Business Sector and Rural Interests.
- Carrickfergus LSP has a budget to administer under the Peace II Programme, 2002-2008.
- Carrickfergus LSP has developed an Integrated Local Strategy for the area, covering all the key issues which effect people's daily lives.
