We are fortunate to live in a Borough with so many attributes – a proud historic town, a beautiful coastal location and access to wonderful countryside. Carrickfergus Borough Council is committed to maintaining and protecting these attributes for the future enjoyment of all.

A Vision for You
Carrickfergus Borough Council has a clear vision for the future development of the Borough as a place to live work and enjoy.  Its Corporate Plan integrates four key themes that are crucial to the long term development and well being of the Borough and its residents.  These are:

  • Citizenship – building on the civic pride that we enjoy within the Borough
  • Social Progress – seeking to promote co-operation between Council and those involved in community activities
  • Economy – addressing the needs of our business community
  • Environment – ensuring that we all enjoy the benefits of a clean, healthy lifestyle.

Strong civic leadership is the lynch pin that binds the Borough together and that drives it forward to meet the opportunities and challenges of the future.
